Vacation residence Raymond, ME
Site description:
On the shorefront of Lake Sebago.
Objective:
For the creation of this new vacation home, the design was approached with a modern sensibility. Using the inherent qualities of logs, an open modern space with a log home camp-like quality was sculpted. The plan is contemporary with one side opening onto the lake through sliding doors. Logs extend outside creating a trellis and porch for enjoying the outdoors. The rustic interior uses all locally-harvested wood and provides a feeling of warmth and history.
This project was selected as a grand winner for the Metropolitan Home design competition in 1992.
