Site description:
Rural neighborhood.
Objective:
This renovation/ addition to an existing 1950’s ranch style home completely updated and re-defined the home. By adding new sculptural forms and weaving their elements through the existing house, new indoor and outdoor spaces were created. A wing was added to the original footprint, housing the bedrooms which overlook a new courtyard and connect the rooms to the outdoors. A new large sliding door provides additional natural light. This project was published in the Boston Globe Magazine.
